Job summary

The Computational Medicine Program at UNC-Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Computational Medicine and Genetics. The successful candidate will build an independent research program combining computational genomics, systems biology and cancer biology, and contribute to graduate education.

They will join the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, collaborate across disciplines, mentor students and seek extramural funding to advance precision cancer science.

Qualifications

PhD or equivalent in Genetics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Cancer Biology, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields.
Significant research experience applying computational approaches to cancer biology.
Postdoctoral experience is welcomed but not required for all candidates.

Responsibilities

Develop an independent research program integrating computational medicine with cancer biology.
Collaborate across the Computational Medicine Program, Lineberger Cancer Center, and Genetics Department.
Mentor graduate students and secure extramural funding; contribute to teaching at the graduate level.
