Job summary

Senior Helpers Akron is seeking caring and dedicated caregivers to support clients at home in the Akron area. You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, comfortable living environment.

We offer flexible scheduling, part-time opportunities, and the potential for additional hours according to client needs and your availability. Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, current auto

Qualifications

• Capable of working independently in home-care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal care.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Run errands and assist with shopping as required.
• Report changes in client needs to supervisor promptly.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship & emotional support
• Assisting w/ bathing & personal hygiene
• Assisting w/ dressing and grooming
• Toileting assistance
• Medication reminders
• Assisting w/ ambulation, walking, & safe mobility
• Assisting w/ positioning & transfers as appropriate
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping & laundry
• Running errands & assisting with shopping
• Helping maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
• Reporting changes in client needs to the appropriate supervisor
