Nursing Veterinary Technician Assistant - Part Time

MedVet is a fast-growing Emergency and Specialty provider with practices nationwide. We help our patients receive advanced medical treatments and innovations, such as chemotherapy, radiation, cardiac ablations, glaucoma treatments, physical rehabilitation, dermatology, and more. We are looking for collaborative and driven individuals to join our clinical team.

This role involves supporting our nursing department, which requires constant supervision of patients to ensure treatment plans are followed. It's ideal for someone who can identify patient distress, assist with recovery, and provide client follow-up and education.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinary technicians in providing quality patient care
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation
• Oversee and care for stable patients
• Assist with patient restraint
• Restock clinical supplies
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas and manage laundry needs

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong client service skills and phone etiquette
• Ability to multitask, be self-motivated, and attentive to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Sense of urgency and critical thinking skills
• Effective patient restraint skills
• Flexible work hours and willingness to work additional hours as needed
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Prior veterinary experience required

Schedule:

Thursday 4p-10p, Friday and Saturday 12p-8p.
