Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Unit Service Coordinator to provide clerical support in the nursing unit, manage patient data and records, and assist with admissions and discharges. This role requires reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.

Responsibilities include performing reception tasks, assembling medical records, and supporting routine patient care functions as needed. Candidates with PMAB certification and medical terminology familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior work administrative/clerical experience in a medical setting.
• PMAB Certification within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
• Able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit.
• Collect and compile patient data and assemble medical records.
• Assist with patient admission and discharge processes.
• Perform routine patient care functions as needed and support other duties as required.
