Job summary

German Centre Home is seeking a Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to lead a nursing unit and guide a skilled team in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care. This full-time role operates on day shifts, Monday–Friday, with holiday rotations, in a community-focused setting just outside Boston.

The ideal candidate holds MA RN or LPN licensure, brings 2+ years in clinical supervision, and is experienced in long-term care regulations and infection control.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered MA RN or LPN licensure.
• 2+ years in a clinical supervisor or leadership role preferred.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care and compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff by coordinating assignments, providing clinical guidance, and fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure accurate medication administration, documentation, infection control practices, and adherence to state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns promptly, respond to clinical emergencies, and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.
