John Scott House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Braintree, MA is seeking a hands-on Unit Manager (RN/LPN) to lead the short-term unit. This role blends leadership with direct resident care, mentoring staff, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

You will oversee daily clinical operations, participate in on-call rotation, complete assessments, and support admissions, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN or LPN license in good standing is required
• Current CPR certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily clinical operations of a long-term care unit
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Complete resident assessments and oversee care planning
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in the on-call rotation
• Assist with admissions and clinical problem-solving
• Provide direct resident care as needed, including occasional medication administration and taking a medication cart to support the team during staffing needs
