Job summary

Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on a designated unit, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, policy implementation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement.

The position is full-time, with day shifts (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM), and offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits through Marquis Health Consulting Services.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN or LPN in Rhode Island.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.
