Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Michigan RN license and CPR certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a health care setting.
• Knowledge of rehabilitative/restorative nursing practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Under the DON, supervise nursing care provided by staff.
• Develop, maintain, and update policies and procedures for the nursing department.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Plan department services, programs, and activities with staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
• Complete administrative tasks such as forms, reports, and care plans.
• Ensure sufficient licensed nurses and CNAs per shift to meet care needs.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed.
