Job summary

Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team and ensure high-quality care. This leadership role oversees daily nursing operations, staff development, and a safe, compassionate environment for residents.

The role requires an active Wisconsin RN or LPN license with at least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term or skilled care, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Wisconsin and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Leadership experience preferred (Nurse Supervisor or Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Infection Control Certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise nursing staff on assigned unit.
• Oversee daily nursing operations including staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor resident outcomes, quality measures, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to nursing staff.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
• Participate in resident and family meetings to address concerns and ensure satisfaction of care.
• Be part of clinical Leadership call rotation.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding and training of nursing staff as needed.
