Job summary

Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team and oversee operations on a dedicated unit. This role emphasizes staff development, quality care, and regulatory compliance in a compassionate setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Wisconsin RN or LPN license with at least three years of nursing experience, preferably in long‑term care, and demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Wisconsin with a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
• Previous nursing experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing.
• Leadership experience preferred (Nurse Supervisor or Unit Manager, Charge Nurse etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Infection Control Certification or willing to obtain.
• Passion for team‑building and delivering person‑centered care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise nursing staff on assigned unit.
• Oversee daily nursing operations including staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor resident outcomes, quality measures, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to nursing staff.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
• Participate in resident and family meetings to address concerns and ensure satisfaction of care.
• Be a part of clinical Leadership call rotation.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding and training of nursing staff as needed.
