CharterCARE Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, RI is seeking a clerical assistant to support the nursing service unit. You will help prepare, compile and maintain patient and hospital records and coordinate activities in the unit such as testing schedules.

You will transcribe physician orders, prepare requisitions for labs, x-ray exams and consultations, and order medications and supplies for pre/post-operative patients.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes physician's orders onto unit records and files for nursing personnel.
• Prepare requisitions ordering laboratory tests, x-ray exams, blood tests and consultations requested by the physician.
• Coordinate scheduling of patient tests as ordered by physicians.
• Order medications and supplies for pre/post-operative patients.
• Regularly performs function of unit receptionist.
