Job summary

UI Health in Chicago, IL is hiring Nursing Technicians to support registered nurses in delivering patient care under the Relationship-Based Care model. This 1.0 FTE position offers rotating schedules with flex evenings and requires Illinois residency.

You will assist with admissions, document vital signs in the EHR, advocate for patients and families, and collaborate with the care team while pursuing ongoing professional development. Four positions are available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with valid CNA license (IL).
• Current BLS/CPR and unit-specific certifications.
• Strong communication, basic computer and EHR skills; reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission, transfer or discharge as assigned.
• Document patient information in the EHR, including vitals and care provided.
• Support patient and family, provide comfort and relay information to RN/LPN.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure safety, care quality and a therapeutic environment.
• Participate in shared leadership activities and pursue ongoing learning.
