Job summary
Grady Health System is seeking a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to work under supervision of licensed staff in inpatient settings. The NST delivers age-appropriate personal care, assists with daily living activities, and supports advocacy and teaching efforts.
Roles may include basic/advanced skills per competency validation and potential cross-training as a patient safety monitor. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS, and one of several nursing support
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required, BLS certification, and one of the following nursing support credentials.
- Current Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification or PCT program completion or Basic Nursing Fundamentals Course demonstrated by transcript.
Responsibilities
- Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive personal care.
- Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
- Maintain a safe environment and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Support patient advocacy, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.
