Job summary

The Ashton at Mayfield Heights in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead resident care in a retirement community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will supervise staff, ensure adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements, and coordinate care plans with families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two-year professional nursing experience in long-term care setting.
• Two-years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.

Responsibilities

• Assumes delegated responsibility for resident care per professional standards and regulations.
• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures reflecting current standards and compliance.
• Conducts resident assessments and suggests service packages to residents and families.
• Ensures compassionate quality care with adequate staff coverage and facility standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical quality indicators and monitors systems to meet targets.

Nursing Supervisor Responsibilities include:

• The Nursing Supervisor assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care and practices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff. Monitors practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
• Conducts resident assessments, suggesting level of needed service packages to residents and their families, as directed.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage for the facility, appropriateness of staff, absence of odors, cleanliness, absence of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal physical, mental and, psychosocial function.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators. Proactively monitors and implements systems to achieve and/or surpass company thresholds.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two-year professional nursing experience in long-term care setting.
• Two-years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff
