RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (Per Diem) for the Patient Transfer Center in Somerset, NJ. The role coordinates incoming and outgoing transfers, ensures compliance with policy, and provides leadership to the transfer team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include NJ RN licensure, BLS, 5+ years in nursing management with 2 years supervisory experience, and a strong ability to triage and coordinate transport resources.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health Care Nursing Management with at least 2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate patient transfers and ensure department aligns with RWJBH policies.
• Prioritize transfers based on acuity and coordinate timely transport.
• Support staff, evaluate performance, and conduct rounds/1:1 sessions.
• Assist in scheduling and staffing to maintain operations during absences.
• Provide education and orientation for new team members and lead staff huddles.
