Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Nursing Supervisor on Duty to oversee staffing and scheduling for all Nursing and Behavioral Health staff per shift. This role acts as the first-line administrator with the Nursing Administrator on Call (NAC) and DOC, providing clinical support and direct patient care while ensuring adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Rhode Island with current license.
• Knowledge of aging processes and cultural patterns in care.
• Maintain SafetyCare, AHA BLS certification and Lead RN training.

Responsibilities

• Create and support a workplace culture of safety and staffing optimization.
• Support hospital-wide patient safety programs and rounds on all units.
• Lead as part of the code team and coordinate admissions and off-hours liaison.
• Act as first-line nursing administrator during evening, night, weekends and holidays.
• Ensure compliance with Brown University Health/Bradley policies and audits.
