Job summary

Brown University Health at Bradley Hospital in East Providence, RI seeks an experienced Nursing Supervisor. Responsible for supervision, staffing, and scheduling of all Nursing and Behavioral Health staff during the shift, and provides clinical support for decision making with direct patient care.

Maintains safety culture and ensures policy adherence. Role serves as first-line nursing administrator evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, with liaison duties for Pharmacy and Lab.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in RI or NLC reciprocity as per state rules.
• Graduate of nursing school with current RI RN license.
• Maintain SafetyCare and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Create and support a culture of safety and staff engagement.
• Rounds on all units during shift; obtain reports from charge RNs.
• Lead as code team member and Incident Commander when needed.
• Ensure staffing coverage and adherence to hospital policies.
• Coordinate admissions and off-hours liaison for pharmacy, lab, and medical supply services.
• Monitor safety incidents and support patient safety programs.
