Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for the Ortho Spine ENT Joint Surgical units. The role involves providing work directions to staff, coordinating resources, and ensuring efficient patient flow.

The RN will lead a collaborative leadership team to support quality patient care and act as a liaison among physicians, nursing staff, and administration. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, an RN license, and BLS certification, with at least 3 years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• RN with strong leadership potential and resourceful approach.
• Must hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing and completion of accredited program are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide work directions to staff and coordinate resources for patient care operations.
• Promote quality patient care and advocate for patients and staff rights.
• Foster communication among patients, families, hospital departments, and medical staff.
• Collaborate with manager on ongoing process improvement and staff education programs.
• Serve as a clinical resource contact for patients, families, staff and external agencies.
• Participate in department orientation and continuing education for all staff.
