Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to provide administrative direction and leadership for the off-shift nursing team. The role reports to the Director of Nursing Administration and emphasizes staffing optimization, patient flow, policy implementation, and interdepartmental collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN with a master’s degree preferred, at least five years of clinical nursing experience, valid MA RN licensure, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Education - Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; BSN and Masters’ Degree in Nursing or related field strongly preferred.
• Experience - Five years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications - Current licensure in Massachusetts and CPR certification; critical care, emergency, or supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs operations of the Nursing Department on the off-shift and coordinates staffing resources.
• Collaborates with departments to ensure quality patient care and resource availability.
• Provides leadership oversight to staffing coordinators and monitors patient flow.
• Develops, implements and revises patient care policies and nursing standards.
• Serves on committees and facilitates interdepartmental teamwork.
• Participates in budgeting and departmental financial planning.
