Job summary

Ocean Gardens Care Center is seeking a RN Supervisor to assist in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing Department in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.

The role reports to the RN Manager and Director of Nursing, with responsibilities including rounds, staff supervision, and ensuring quality resident care. Leadership and strong regulatory knowledge are essential for success in this long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in New York.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in long-term care.
• PRI certification a plus.
• Knowledge of MDS and Care Plans.
• IV certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff on all shifts to ensure quality care and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct rounds and monitor resident status, staff performance, and care plans.
• Coordinate MDS processes and care planning activities with the interdisciplinary team.
• Lead department meetings and provide coaching, feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local guidelines and facility policies.
• Communicate with DNS/ADNS and RN Managers to ensure continuity of care.
