Job summary

Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks a Nursing Supervisor to oversee the statewide Long Term Care Preadmission Screening Unit, ensuring accurate determinations of care levels for facilities and home and community services.

The role includes staff hiring/training, maintaining program statistics, and providing guidance to nursing facilities, MCOs, and other agencies. Must meet selective requirements and hold a Delaware RN license or multi-state compact.

Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or multi-state license.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating care in a health care setting.
• Knowledge of state/NHIP and facility regulations and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Long Term Care Preadmission Screening Unit.
• Ensure accurate determinations of care levels for facilities and services.
• Hire and train LTC nurses; monitor workforce productivity.
