Job summary
Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) in Delaware seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing and ensure compliance with licensing standards. Acting for the Director in their absence, you will collaborate with Human Resources and Labor relations on employee matters.
You will review incident reports, work with union representatives, and participate in negotiations as needed, while guiding clinical practice and policy development.
Qualifications
- Delaware Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
- Minimum 3 years RN experience in Long Term Care Nursing with appropriate degree as detailed.
- Knowledge of staff supervision and policy development.
- Experience with budget development and long/short range financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.
- Develops, implements and reviews nursing care plans.
- Delivers health care instruction to individuals, families, and facilities.
- Maintains effective working relationships within the treatment team.
- Prepares and submits records, reports and evaluations.
- Participates in quality assurance activities.
