Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in administrative and clinical leadership within behavioral health.

This part-time, rotating-shift role will lead charge nurses, oversee staffing, participate in hiring and staff development, and promote safety and evidence-based practice to drive patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required and RN license in CT.
• 2+ years in Behavioral Health nursing.
• Leadership roles such as Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Assistant Nurse Manager (2+ years).

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center/Mount Sinai Rehabilitation/Behavioral Health the Assistant Nurse Manager—internally classified as Nursing Supervisor – NL I—supports the Nurse Manager in administrative and managerial duties while guiding the healthcare team in delivering best clinical practices within the behavioral health setting.

• Supervise charge nurses and frontline staff, contributing to staff coordination, scheduling, and throughput.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Valid RN license in Connecticut.

• The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in Behavioral Health nursing along with

• The ideal candidate will have experience in Behavioral Health nursing (2+ years) and leadership roles such as, Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Assistant Nurse Manager (2+ years).

Preferred

• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
