Job Summary

The Nursing Supervisor is accountable for overseeing nurse staffing and hospital operations on nights; plans, organizes, and supports staff to provide comprehensive patient care on all shifts; evaluates care and ensures customer satisfaction and quality outcomes; facilitates patient flow activities, provides leadership in clinical problem solving, and serves as patient advocate and physician liaison; maintains clinical skills and knowledge necessary to meet organizational standards.

Qualifications

• ASN required
• BSN or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field preferred
• Within five (5) years of hire, and as a condition of continued employment, ASN nurse must earn a BSN Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field or higher (i.e., Master's degree, MSN)
• Minimum of two (2) years of acute or long term acute care experience required
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Current CT RN license required
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification or must obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire in position

Work Schedule

24 hours/week, nights (11:15 pm-7:15 am), 2 12 hour shifts
