Job summary

Exalt Health, LLC. is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead and support our RNs and LPNs in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, orthopedic injuries, and neurological disorders.

This PRN leadership role focuses on supervising clinical staff, coordinating shifts, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies. The ideal candidate will hold a Florida RN license with current BLS and ACLS, plus at least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Florida.
• Current BLS certification through AHA/Red Cross.
• Current ACLS certification through AHA/Red Cross.
• CRRN certification is a plus.
• 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership and patient-centered care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care: assess needs, administer meds, monitor vitals, develop care plans with the inter‑disciplinary team.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff; assign tasks and provide feedback.
• Ensure quality and safety by monitoring outcomes and addressing risks.
• Promote patient-centered care and effective communication with patients and families.
• Participate in unit operations: schedule preparation, budget management, and interdepartmental collaboration.

Exalt Health, an acute rehabilitation hospital, provides an intensive rehabilitation program, and admitted patients must be able to tolerate three hours of intense rehabilitation services per day. Focused on caring for patients with complex rehabilitative needs such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, head trauma, medically debilitation conditions, neurological disorders, cardio-pulmonary amputations, orthopedic injuries, and multiple major traumas.

As a Nursing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting our team of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients recovering from various conditions, including stroke, brain injury, orthopedic injuries, and neurological disorders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care: Assessing patient needs, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Supervising and mentoring nursing staff: Assigning tasks, providing ongoing feedback and development opportunities, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
• Ensuring quality and safety: Monitoring patient outcomes, identifying and addressing potential risks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality care practices.
• Promoting patient-centered care: Fostering a positive and respectful environment for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication, and advocating for patient needs.
• Participating in unit operations: Preparing schedules, managing budgets, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient patient care flow.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Licenses or Certifications

• Current, unencumbered registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in the state where currently practicing.
• Current BLS via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• Current ACLS certification via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required
• Current Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN®) is a plus.

Education, Training, and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven track record of leading and improving clinical quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in rehabilitation medicine.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to rehabilitation services.
