Job summary

NURSING SUPERVISOR

Part Time .5 - Non Union Professional Secaucus, NJ, US

Job Duties:

• Provides interpretation of hospital policies and procedures to staff.
• Initiates appropriate and immediate corrective action when established policy/procedure is not followed.
• Provides direction in all emergencies.
• Monitors for proper utilization of staff.
• Facilitates lines of communication interdepartmentally.
• Intercedes
• Effectively communicates issues, actions to hospital administration and appropriate department heads. on problematic issues involving patients families, visitors and personnel.
• Proactive in ensuring adequate resources available to meet patient care needs.
• Ensures regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrates competence as on site manager responsible for hospital operations in the absence of administrator.
• Identifies and reports actual potential risk issues.
• Adjusts staffing of nursing departments based on changes in acuity, census and addresses sick calls, no shows and staffing issues.
• Participates with hospital's Performance Improvement activities through education and monitoring staff.

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate from accredited Nursing Program
• Valid NJ RN License
• BSN preferred
• BLS,ACLS, PALS - AHA approved
• Nursing Supervisor Experience preferred.
