Elmhurst University seeks a part-time Nursing Student Support Specialist to lead academic support and student success initiatives for nursing students. The role focuses on academic progression, retention, individualized support, and NCLEX readiness, collaborating with students, faculty, and campus partners.

The position requires in-person work ~20 hours/week from August through May, with limited summer hours, and a salary range of $27.50–$30.00 per hour. Non-exempt and on-site in Elmhurst, IL.

Qualifications

• BSN graduate with Illinois RN licensure.
• 3+ years of experience with undergraduate nursing students or in academic/student support in higher education.
• Experience providing academic advising, coaching, student support, or early intervention.

Responsabilités

• Manages academic support and student success initiatives for undergrad nursing students.
• Analyzes performance data to identify at-risk students and develops retention strategies.
• Provides individualized academic support and coaching with referrals to campus resources.
• Maintains a systematic student-success caseload and documents interventions.
• Manages NCLEX eligibility and application process with timely submission.
• Monitors clinical feedback forms and SIEPs, ensuring timely follow-up and communication.
• Develops and delivers workshops on study strategies, time management, test-taking, and licensure prep.
• Schedules course evaluations and shares evaluative data with faculty.
• Evaluates effectiveness of initiatives using performance and graduation data.
