Job summary

University of North Florida (UNF) seeks a Nursing Student Success Coach to lead NCLEX‑RN preparation and identify at‑risk students for targeted remediation. The role partners with the SON Director, Assistant Director, and faculty to implement individualized plans and promote student success.

On‑campus position, 20 hours per week, at UNF, including work at the Simulation Center. Requires a RN or APRN license in FL and a relevant degree with 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience per Fla. Stat. 112.219.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic coaching and support to nursing students.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes student engagement and well‑being.
• Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and support services to ensure comprehensive academic support.
• Identify students at risk using performance data and faculty input; track progression and maintain records.
• Design and implement individualized success and remediation plans in collaboration with faculty.
• Conduct regular follow-up meetings with students to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Coordinate NCLEX‑RN preparation strategies, including workshops and practice exams.
• Develop and coordinate student success offerings such as tutoring and peer mentoring.
• Analyze performance trends to inform planning and improvement.
