Job summary

Daily tasks include vital signs, I&Os, personal care, ADLs, and unit stocking while maintaining cleanliness and order. The role requires active nursing program enrollment and a commitment to safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a nursing program and able to demonstrate accountability.
• Successful completion of nursing fundamentals and clinical rotations or equivalent.
• Proof of active enrollment required each term; communicate status changes promptly.

Responsibilities

• Assists with delegated patient care tasks under direct supervision of a nurse.
• Provides patient care including comfort, hygiene, skin care, safety, transport, and nutrition/elimination.
• Responds promptly to call lights and patient needs.
• Reports status changes and needs to the Registered Nurse promptly and accurately.
• Documents vitals, input/output, nutrition, hygiene, weights and other care delivered; communicates results to nurse.
• Demonstrates clinical strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.
