Job summary

Sierra Medical Center is seeking a nurse aide to provide direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting under the supervision of a registered nurse preceptor. You will communicate with the RN about changes in patient conditions and participate in CQI activities.

Qualified candidates are enrolled in a nursing program, have completed fundamentals, and are certified as CNA/EMT/Paramedic with current BLS. UHS supports career growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
• Has completed the fundamentals course (and verified proof) in nursing school.
• Certified as a CNA, EMT or Paramedic required.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting under a RN preceptor.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with RN preceptor and discuss diagnostic results.
• Participate in department CQI/quality improvement activities.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and pediatric, geriatric, and general patient assessments per policy.
