Job summary

University of Utah Health seeks a patient-focused RN Apprentice to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while preparing to advance to a Clinical Nurse position after licensure. The role supports a 24/7 health system across hospitals and clinics.

Qualifications

Current RN Apprentice license or temporary license required.
Temporary Graduate Nurse license in Utah preferred.
Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a registered nurse, assess, plan, implement and re-evaluate patient care.
Formulate care plans and document the nursing process in patient records.
Educate patients and families about post-discharge care and follow-up.
Assist with activities of daily living and indirect patient care tasks.
Support a safe, clean, and efficient patient care environment and team operations.
Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
