Job summary

Bridgeport Healthcare Center is seeking a Nursing Staff Scheduler / Central Supply Coordinator to maintain staffing efficiency and nursing supply par levels. The role requires meticulous organization and a background in the field, with a Monday–Friday full-time schedule and CNA preferred. You will coordinate with nursing leadership and manage inventory and vendor interactions.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Creates (or follows) the master staffing schedule.
• Communicates with DON and ADON to coordinate nursing schedule.
• Prepares daily staffing sheets with revisions as necessary.
• Performs attendance and PTO administration for nursing staff.
• Conducts routine inventory weekly to ensure par levels.
• Create and submit to Business Office a complete billing statement for residents.
• Fill requisitions as approved and file per policies.
• Deliver emergency supplies and organize storage and delivery.

Experience in the field is required.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESThe responsibilities of the Nursing Staff Scheduler / Central Supplies Coordinator include:Creates (or follows) the master staffing schedule created by the DON or designee.Communicates continuously with DON and ADON to ensure coordination of information and maintain accuracy of nursing schedule.Prepares daily staffing sheets with continual revisions as necessary.Performs attendance and paid time off administration for nursing staff.Conduct routine inventory on a weekly basis to ensure par levelsCreate a list of supplies needed and purchase materials to maintain an adequate inventoryDeal directly with all vendorsPrepare correspondences and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc., and return to vendor as requiredFollow prescribed budgetCreate and submit to the Business Office a complete billing statement for resident billingFill requisitions, as approved, and file in accordance with established policies and proceduresOnly fill orders that are accompanied by a requisition that has all the necessary information, unless it is a life threatening situationProperly scan product codes to fill orders and maintain an accurate inventory in an efficient mannerDeliver emergency supplies and equipment as directedOrganize storage, issue and delivery of supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and proceduresEnsure various departments/residents are properly charged with supplies they have received for cost allocation purposesNotify appropriate department when special orders have arrivedQUALIFICATIONSMust be a High School graduate or GED equivalentMust have at least 1 year experience in the fieldMust be detail-oriented with great organizational skillsMust have good computer skillsBenefitsAs a CommuniCare employee you will enjoy competitive wages and PTO plans.
