Job description

Maplewood Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Nursing Staff Scheduler to join our team.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:

The Nursing Staff Scheduler position exists to provide staffing coordination to ensure the highest quality resident care at all times. The role requires effective collaboration with team members to ensure work is accomplished in a timely, organized, and safe manner, with a focus on delivering quality resident care. The position also involves managing available resources effectively.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Follow the master staffing schedule created by the DON or designee.
2. Maintain continuous communication with the DON or designee to ensure coordination and accuracy of the nursing schedule.
3. Prepare daily staffing sheets with ongoing revisions as needed.
4. Adhere to center policies and DON guidelines regarding staffing numbers, staff assignments, and protocols for using agency and in-house pools.
5. Provide a weekly listing of vacant nursing positions to the DON.
6. Administer attendance and paid time off for nursing staff.
7. Perform all other administrative staffing duties as required.
8. Perform related activities as assigned or requested.
9. Work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies, objectives, quality improvement programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
2. Prior staff scheduling experience required.
