Job summary

Lamar Institute of Technology is seeking a Skills Lab Coordinator to oversee nursing skills laboratories and support simulation faculty. The role ensures resources, equipment, and labs run smoothly to promote student success in clinical competencies.

The position requires Texas RN licensure and aBSN; the candidate will mentor students, coordinate lab setups, and help implement simulation scenarios under the direction of the Nursing Program Director.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Texas is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of nursing skills laboratories and ensure instructional resources are available.
• Support simulation faculty with development, setup and implementation of scenarios.
• Coordinate clinical labs and assist with skills validations for students.
• Provide mentoring and academic coaching to students in collaboration with faculty.
• Maintain equipment inventory and ensure safe use of lab spaces.
