Job summary

Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY seeks a Simulation Specialist/Nursing Laboratory Coordinator to provide technical, operational, and educational support for nursing simulation and skills labs, coordinating lab operations and assisting with student remediation.

The role collaborates with faculty to meet course outcomes, maintain equipment, ensure accreditation standards, and support simulation-based learning, with a schedule of 35 hours/week and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree (preferred in science or health field).
• Current BLS certification; CHSE or CHSOS within 24 months of hire; required.
• Experience in simulation operations, healthcare education, or nursing education support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain semester schedules for nursing labs and simulation activities.
• Prepare and maintain lab environments, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate and troubleshoot patient care simulators and equipment.
• Support faculty with simulation setup, debriefing, and assessments.
• Assist with accreditation requirements and program outcomes.
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure alignment with curriculum and learning objectives.
