Job summary

Utica University is seeking a Lab and Simulation Coordinator to lead nursing skills laboratories and simulation learning across pre-licensure programs. You will ensure high-quality, evidence-based experiences that support student learning, clinical competence, and patient safety while aligning with AACN Essentials and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for nursing skills, laboratory, and simulation activities across pre-licensure programs.
• Collaborate with program directors and faculty to design and evaluate lab and simulation activities aligned with standards.
• Attend planning meetings and coordinate scheduling for lab facilities.
• Maintain the master schedule for lab and simulation use with campus operations.
• Ensure lab environments are prepared, safe, and equipped with functioning tech and supplies.
• Maintain inventory and replacement plans for simulation hardware/software.
• Support lab instructors and student assistants with orientation, training, and feedback.
• Provide faculty development support for lab and simulation instruction.
• Teach 2–3 sections per semester within pre-licensure programs.
• Collect and review assessment data and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Serve as a resource for instructional technology and training for faculty.
• Collaborate to support accreditation and quality improvement across campus operations.
