Job summary

Durham Technical Community College is seeking an ADN Simulation Coordinator/Instructor to plan, deliver, and evaluate instruction in classroom, lab, and clinical settings. The role supports the ADN program leadership, curriculum development, and student success.

The instructor will teach 15–18 contact hours per semester, prepare instructional plans, enforce policies, and maintain student records while contributing to competency-based education and simulation activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold current unrestricted RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Master's degree with a major in nursing.
• Experience teaching in ADN or higher education; knowledge of adult education principles.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADN courses, with a load of 15-18 contact hours per semester in a flexible schedule.
• Prepare instructional plans for each class session aligned to course objectives.
• Enforce institutional policies and maintain accurate records and required paperwork.
• Advise students as required and assist with curriculum development and assessment.
• Develop and update course outlines, syllabi and program materials; participate in meetings.
• Support simulation lab activities and coordinate simulation experiences for students.
