Wake Technical Community College seeks a nursing educator to provide effective clinical, lab, and simulation instruction in assigned courses. The instructor will maintain records, prepare thoroughly, and adapt teaching to diverse student needs while ensuring a safe learning environment.

The role requires a BSN and an active North Carolina RN license, with at least two years of clinical nursing practice. Collaboration with faculty and partners is essential, as is meeting NC nursing education

Qualifications

• BSN required; current unrestricted RN license in NC.
• Two calendar years of full-time clinical nursing practice as an RN.
• Ability to teach across multiple clinical settings (Pediatric, Behavioral Health, Mother/Baby, Med-Surg).
• NC Board of Nursing educational requirements to be met within 3 years of hire; MSN within 5 years.

• Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance.
• Prepares thoroughly for instructional responsibilities.
• Provides flexible teaching across clinical and simulation settings as needed.
• Maintains a safe learning environment and timely feedback to students.
• Advises students regarding grades and progress.
• Supervises and evaluates students in clinical settings per policy.
• Collaborates with course faculty and clinical partners to evaluate lab and clinical experiences.
• Maintains and uses evidence-based teaching strategies; participates in program development.
