Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a Shift Supervisor – Nursing to oversee nursing staff and unit operations. You will schedule staff, ensure supplies and equipment are available, and collaborate with nurse managers to resolve area issues.

You will educate patients and families and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards while supporting the facility's mission and goals.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with at least two years of experience in a nursing area.
• BSN degree preferred but not required for experience outweighing education.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operation of assigned nursing units and ensure standards of practice.
• Manage and organize nursing schedules per productivity standards.
• Assist with training and mentoring new personnel.
• Supervise staff and contribute to evaluations.
• Participate in council or project teams to improve patient care and operations.
