Life Care Centers of America seeks an RN - Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure the highest quality patient care in compliance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The role requires an ASN or BSN, an active RN license, and preferred geriatric/post-acute care experience.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in good standing in the applicable state.
• Two years of geriatric nursing experience preferred, preferably in post-acute care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Assist with overseeing care provided by nursing staff.
• Oversee infection control responsibilities.
• Assume the duties of the DON in his or her absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
