Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Clinical Assistant Manager to lead nursing care delivery and resource management on the unit. You will collaborate with the Clinical Manager to plan and implement performance improvement initiatives, staff development, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.

Ideal candidates hold RN licensure with a BSN preferred, plus at least two years of clinical nursing and one year in a leadership role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN is strongly preferred.
• RN licensure in the state of employment.
• Minimum of two years in clinical nursing practice; one year in leadership/charge role preferred.
• Certification in area of specialty required within 6 months of eligibility; BLS certification required prior to patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of PI Plan initiatives with Clinical Manager to improve outcomes.
• Provides feedback, counseling, and disciplinary input to staff as appropriate.
• Provides staff with performance evaluations as defined by HR.
• Supports staff participation in peer review systems and staff input into evaluations.
• Coordinates nursing care with other disciplines to improve patient throughput and safety.
• Participates in regular leadership and staff meetings and hospital councils or task forces.
• Ensures staff competency and orientation processes are documented and followed.
