Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking an experienced Clinical Assistant Manager to advocate for nursing staff, manage resources, and drive safety and quality in patient care. You will lead efforts in performance improvement, staff evaluation, and collaboration with clinical managers to sustain high standards of care.

Ideal candidates hold RN licensure with a BSN preferred, plus at least two years of clinical nursing and one year in a leadership role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN strongly preferred; commensurate RN experience may be considered in lieu of BSN.
• Minimum of two (2) years in clinical nursing practice. One (1) year leadership or charge role preferred.
• Certification in area of specialty required within 6 months of eligibility; BLS certification required prior to patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of PI initiatives and improve outcomes.
• Ensure staff competencies and provide feedback/counseling; conduct performance evaluations.
• Participate in leadership meetings and staff councils; promote staff participation in hospital activities.
• Coordinate nursing care with other disciplines to enhance patient throughput and safe care delivery.
• Assist in interviewing for vacancies and manage orientation for new hires, float, and agency staff.
• Monitor and balance resources to maintain productivity and cost effectiveness.
• Support professional development and pursuit of further education and certifications.
