Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana invites applications for the Dean of the School of Nursing, a principal academic and administrative leader responsible for strategy, budgeting, staffing, curriculum, and student success.

The Dean collaborates with academic affairs leaders, develops partnerships with healthcare providers, and drives program quality and accreditation readiness to meet workforce needs and the college's strategic plan.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing (regionally accredited).
Three to five years of full-time teaching in nursing education.
Three years as an RN to teach in a clinical setting.
Demonstrated experience in nursing education and administration.
Current, unencumbered Indiana RN license.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for program improvement, development and review to meet student and workforce needs.
Deliver classes as needed and oversee curriculum design, syllabi and assessments.
Coordinate with Student Affairs, Marketing and Communications for recruitment and advising.
Develop and manage the School budget and allocate resources.
Interview and supervise faculty; monitor workload and assignments.
Support student advising and success initiatives; ensure policy compliance.
Participate in School, campus and college committees; engage professional organizations.
Foster external partnerships with healthcare providers and transfer institutions.
