Job summary

Aiken Technical College seeks a Dean of the School of Nursing to guide strategic direction, oversee faculty development, and ensure program quality and accreditation. The role includes budgeting, course scheduling, assessment, and external partnerships to support student success.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s in Nursing, a SC Multi-State RN license, and at least three years of nursing practice with higher education leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• SC Multi-State (compact) RN license required.
• Three years of recent RN practice within the last five years required.
• Experience in higher education leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of short- and long-term plans for the Nursing Division.
• Monitor continuous improvement using program and course assessment data.
• Oversee budget, scheduling, advisement, recruitment, and retention processes.
• Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff; lead recruitment of qualified faculty.
• Foster collaboration within divisions and with external partners.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and policies.
