Elwood Health and Living in Illinois is seeking a highly organized Scheduler to manage daily staffing for our skilled nursing and assisted living teams. You will build schedules, fill open shifts, and handle real-time call-offs, acting as the staffing hub to keep care uninterrupted.

The role requires 1–2 years in scheduling within healthcare, strong communication, and proficiency with scheduling software. We offer a supportive environment, competitive benefits, and stable hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare admin training preferred.
• 1–2 years scheduling or staffing coordination in healthcare/long-term care prf.
• Familiarity with nursing staffing ratios, shift structures, and CMS rules.

Responsibilities

• Build, publish, and maintain nursing schedules across all shifts.
• Fill open shifts using internal staff, overtime, PRN, and agency.
• Manage real-time call-offs and ensure coverage.
• Track schedule changes and overtime in the scheduling system.
• Coordinate with DON daily for accurate coverage; maintain backup pools.
• Generate staffing reports for DON and Administrator.
