Job summary

Black River Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical department on a per diem basis. The RN will plan and provide comprehensive patient care, manage nursing resources, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality, cost-effective care.

Per diem positions offer 24 hours per pay period, with varied shifts and a rotation that includes every 3rd weekend and holidays; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within specified timelines and Wisconsin RN licensure are required or

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Current Wisconsin RN license
• BLS within 3 months; ACLS within 1 year; PALS within 2 years

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient assessments and responses to interventions.
• Provides individualized patient and family-focused care throughout the patient's stay.
• Initiates effective after-care and referral plans on admission utilizing appropriate hospital and community resources.
• Participates in patient and family education as evidenced by teaching documentation with appropriate resources.

The Registered Nurse plans and provides comprehensive patient care as well as manages available nursing resources and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.

The positions available are:

• Provides individualized patient and family-focused care throughout the patient's stay.

• Participates in patient and family education as evidenced by teaching documentation with appropriate resources.

Educational Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BLS required within 3 months of hire
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• PALS within 2 years of hire
• Current licensed Wisconsin RN
