Heartline Staffing is seeking an OB Registered Nurse for the night shift in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. This full-time position supports the hospital's obstetric unit with compassionate, family-centered care and a collaborative care team.

Candidates must hold an ADN, Wisconsin RN license, and current BLS; NRP, ACLS, and Electronic Fetal Monitoring certifications are required or obtainable after hire. OB experience preferred; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN required and RN license in Wisconsin.
• BLS within 3 months of hire; NRP within 6 months; ACLS within 1 year; EFM within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient- and family-focused care throughout the patient's stay, anticipating changes in care needs.
• Evaluate assessments and responses to interventions per standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of RN competencies and medications.
• Assess labor progression and manage induction and cervical ripening.
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and neonatal assessments.
• Recognize and manage neonatal sepsis.
• Manage obstetric emergencies including prolapsed Cord, breech delivery, PPH, precipitous delivery, uterine rupture, placental abruption.

SCHEDULE & PRACTICE MODEL

• Full time, night shift
• 72 hours per pay period
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation
• Hospital OB department
• Floats to other hospital departments as needed

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individualized patient- and family-focused care throughout the patient's stay, anticipating changes in care needs
• Evaluate patient assessments and responses to interventions and take appropriate action according to established standards
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and competence in required registered nurse competencies, including thorough knowledge of medications administered
• Assess labor progression and manage induction of labor and cervical ripening
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and neonatal assessments
• Recognize and manage neonatal sepsis
• Manage obstetric emergencies, including prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, precipitous delivery, uterine rupture, and placental abruption
