Job summary

Black River Health has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse in our Med/Surg Department. The RN plans and provides comprehensive patient care as well as manages available nursing resources and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.

This per diem position offers 24 hours per pay period across various shifts, with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• PALS within 2 years of hire.
• Current Wisconsin RN license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient assessments and responses to interventions and take appropriate action according to established standards.
• Provides individualized patient and family-focused care throughout the patient’s stay.
• Initiates effective after-care and referral plans on admission utilizing appropriate hospital and community resources.
• Participates in patient and family education as evidenced by teaching documentation with appropriate resources.
• Manages available nursing resources and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.
• Per Diem – 24 hours per pay period, various shifts, with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)

BLS within 3 months of hire

ACLS within 1 year of hire

PALS within 2 years of hire

Current Wisconsin RN license
