Job summary

The Waterford at Virginia Beach is seeking a Medication Aide to support residents in an assisted living and memory care setting. You will be responsible for setting up and administering medications as ordered by physicians, while upholding professional standards of care and potentially supervising CNAs.

Licensed in Virginia as a Medication Aide, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help ensure resident safety and comfort within a respectful, caring environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Virginia as a Medication Aide and maintain current licensure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards.
• May supervise CNAs as directed.
• Provide residents' personal hygiene assistance and mobility support as needed.
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and recording I&O information.

**Eligibility based on location

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information
