Job summary

The Waterford at Virginia Beach, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to join our team and help residents maintain health and dignity.

You will administer medications as ordered, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with CNAs and nurses. Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Virginia as a Medication Aide.
• Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a caregiving team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Assist with meals, mobility, and turning/positioning.
• Monitor vital signs and record intake/output.

**Eligibility based on location

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information
